Veganuary 2026

I’ve decided that I’m going to do Veganuary this year. I’m already a vegetarian and I already eat quite a few vegan food products, so it shouldn’t be too hard! I’ve been vegetarian for just over 4 months and I’ve really enjoyed the change. The biggest changes for me will be avoiding milk and whey in food (there will be a lot of label checking) and cheese. I’m not much of a cheese person but some dishes I make do contain them, so I’ll be swapping them out for vegan cheese alternatives. 

After each week in January I’ll write about my favourite foods for that week. I really, really want to continue being vegan after January so this is a good start towards that goal. I’ve also bought a book on veganism which I’ll read since I’m not fully educated on the whole topic.
